TOPIC: "Good Contracts Make Good Neighbors"
Doing a good job doesn't necessarily mean you won't be sued by your clients. You need to be clear on what your client's and your expectations are. Good contracts will help you avoid mis-understandings and lawsuits. The requirements of consulting contracts seem to change on a daily basis.

This interactive session will cover the important and the subtle provisions of engagement letters and client-provided contracts. Some of the items to be discussed include work descriptions, scope creep, limitation of liability, indemnifications, warranties, confidentiality clauses, non-competes, work product ownership and payment terms.

Learn about these things, why they're important and how to negotiate them into or out of your client contracts.

SPEAKER: Alex W. Zabrosky, Attorney, Gardner Carton & Douglas
