The
Phoenix Principle
Why some companies will succeed and others won't.
How you can predict your
client's success and steer them in the right direction.

Meeting Friday,

What works today may not work tomorrow. Over 60% of the Fortune 500 from
20
years ago are no longer around! Of the top companies from 100 years ago, only
one still exists.
After 6 years of research, including over 400 case studies, Adam Hartung wrote "The
Phoenix Principle" to
provide a framework for understanding and predicting success--or lack thereof. We
can now better understand what behavior leads to
successful results and what causes businesses and individuals to fall short.
This session will apply The Phoenix Principle specifically to help us guide our
clients to better performance, whether working in start-up environments or in
large-cap companies.
Attend this session and take away a framework to help understand behavior and
predict future success. Practiced and applied, this framework can help raise
client profit returns as well as improve our understanding of management long
before it impacts valuation.
"The Phoenix Principle", with a forward by
Tom Peters, is being published by
Prentice Hall, with expected release late 2006 or early 2007. www.ThePhoenixPrinciple.com
Adam is a 1982 Harvard Business School alum. He has consulted at Boston
Consulting Group, Coopers & Lybrand and CSC Index. Adam also served as an
executive at PepsiCo and DuPont. He has successfully started a company and been
a successful angel investor in three enterprises. "The Phoenix Principle" is
based upon these experiences and his research to explain what leads to
successful results - and what doesn't. With this knowledge we can improve our
odds of success.
Adam now works as an independent consultant, delivering projects, workshops and
presentations helping organizations improve their odds of achieving long-term
success.
